Pet insurance can actually be very important for many reasons as our house has just recently found out. We have actually had our retriever for many years now and he doesnt seem to have had that many problems which is always good, he has had a skin condition that is rather common with a retriever but other than that nothing.

Over a period of a few weeks his eye was weeping a lot and a black lump had formed over the eye which he didnt mind but it didnt look right. It didn’t seem to bother him or irritate him in anyway at all however it would seem that because we have to keep wiping it that it was starting to get to him which is why we thought we had better take him to the vet. the first time we took him they said he was fine but he would need to come back after we had used some eye drops on him.

Once we took him back they said that they would need to do a small operation on the eye to make sure it stayed away. Then the cost came £300. Although this doesnt sound likea very big bill around the Chrisrtmas season it can be quite hard to pay out for and I have to say I was a bit shocked. All I can say is that we were very lucky we had some pet insurance as we were going to cancel it a couple of months back because it looked like we were never going to need it.

So it just goes to show that you may need insurance when you don’t think you do. You can even get things like puppy insurance which of course are based around the younger dogs.

If you are thinking about going away to a colder climate this year then make sure you do not forget your ski insurance.

There are so many reasons why getting a dog could really work out for you but there also reasons why you should perhaps hold back on the purchase before you know for sure you can take care of it.

They are very friendly creatures, reliable and can be great company if you are often by yourself. There is a good reason for families having dogs over cats and it is because they work better with a family than cats do. Cats are great but the problem is they are out most of the time, who wants a pet that is hardly ever around to sit with you.

A dog will always perk up for a game even if they are feeling unwell because they love to have that interaction with their human masters. If you are thinking of getting someone a dog for Christmas just do not do it, it is a stupid thing to do. More importantly you should never get a dog for someone for Christmas as more often than not they are taken back because they simply cannot find the time to take care of the animal.

A puppy is great but raising a dog is actually very hard work and can cost a lot of something goes wrong. This is where puppy insurance can come into it. Of course you will have to teach it a lot of things from going to the loo outside and teaching it how to fetch and all of that nonsense.

It isn’t easy but it can certainly be very rewarding, and you gain a best friend out of it!

At first the dog could go around and do its business on anything! Best to get other insurances in place like the mobile phone insurance or perhaps the general gadget insurance.
