There are organic pet foods now. The cost is but one problem to overcome. I buy my food at a specialized pet food store. The foods costs when done in large volume are not that far off those specialized non organic foods. Most pet owners buy their pet foods at grocery stores. It would take extensive advertising to point out to Owners that the very food they buy at supermarkets are not that nutritious and organic foods can end their pets illnesses and allergies. This pet food fiasco has exposed the fact that cheap foods were made at the same mills as the expensive foods. This will be interesting to see if the premium foods lose sales to the cheaper foods. That will be an even bigger hurdle for any new food claiming to be better for your pets.
