My book club is on Thursday nights. My friend’s problems didn’t stop there. One of the offsprings has equine depression because the mother's debilitating health. Nancy was overwhelmed for a while. What would you do if your equine couldn't get up and walk? I have met many different kinds of people and I have made some special friends. Nancy, a very interesting lady, is my good friend. Nancy has been having some tough time with her horses lately. This is her first horse, now old and suffering from a deteriorating health. It was taking her longer and longer to get up after she would lie down. She wasn't as interested as before. Even her appetite was affected; she stopped eating. She missed many social activities while trying to help her horses. The vet told her that her horses wouldn't live long. He recommended a place called Midwest Microcurrent. It was a three hour drive but it might be the only place where she can seek help. I called Nancy that evening and she asked me to look at Midwest Microcurrent’s web site and to let her know what I thought. The web site is a wealth of information So I told Nancy to give it a try.

The Alpha-Stim machine looks like the star equipment in the web site. It can be used to both people and animals. Just hook up some wires and that’s it. The machine emits some micro electrical currents and different wavelengths along the wires to a location on the horse’s body which will benefit the most. Some wires are placed on the ears by using a clip. Others are attached by a sticky pad with electrodes in them, stuck to the shaved area on the body, where it’s needed most. The other way to use the machine is by using probes to hold them against the body when any other way won’t work. By doing this, these electrical impulses offer the wavelengths, frequencies, and impulses the body needs to balance its own electrical system. The very next day Nancy and her husband loaded the horses in the trailer and headed out.
